Introduce of Album

A long-awaited new album woven by Cheng Bi, titled “Early Born Cricket,” has finally been released in autumn 2016 across China and in Taiwan.
Featuring expressive techniques new to her, such as unaccompanied singing and poetry reading, this album will no doubt become one of her representative works as she is taking a significant turn as an artist.Now it has been four years since the release of her self-produced first album “Anna’s Patio” in 2012, you can really feel her growth as an artist over those years once you listen to her latest album.She translated poems written by Misuzu Kaneko, a Japanese female poet who died young, on her own for the new album, in which she revived them as her own “songs” from beginning to end.
The album is the culmination of her music into which her “words” have been sublimated beyond cultural differences since she learned Japanese culture at Peking University.The music of Cheng Bi might always look ahead to the future beyond the ocean.

程璧（Cheng Bi）诠释出的倍受期待的最新专集《早生的铃虫》（Early born cricket），终于在2016年之秋，在中国大陆和台湾予以发布。

具有清唱以及朗诵等崭新表现手法的此专集，毋庸置疑是她作为艺术家迎来巨大转变期的代表作之一。

回想起岁月匆匆，2012年独立制作的首张专辑《ANNA’S PATIO(晴日共剪窗 )》发布至今已经历4年岁月，聆听到此张新专集，能够切实感受到她作为艺术家的夯实成长。

在此专集中，她独自翻译了英年早逝的日本女诗人金子美铃（Kaneko Misuzu）的诗作，在专集全编里充分体现出独自的“演唱”。
曾在北京大学学习日本文化的她，将超越文化的“语言”作为音乐而升华，成为集大成之作。

程璧（Cheng Bi）的音乐，也许始终都是跨越海洋、眺望着未来。
